A member asked:

I had my blood drawn today. when the tech pulled out the needle/last tube, i heard what seemed to be a release of air or pressure. i've never heard that sound before. is it possible air was pushed into my vein? how do i know if air is in my vein?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The tubes used for blood collection have a vacuum inside to draw in your blood. You likely heard the remaining vacuum leaving the tube through the needle after the technician got the amount of blood needed for that test. The tubes do not have pressure inside that could push air into your veins. It did not happen, quit worrying about it.
