Accidental needle stick, what to expect with tests, treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What kind?: What was the circumstances & needle type. Was the needle in contact with another person's blood first? Hollow needle or not? If it was in contact with another person did that person have transmissible disease risks? Can the other person be tested ffor hepatitis & hiv? Report the incident to your supervisor if it is a work related injury. An er can perform blood testing & review risks.
