Probably: Orthodontic rx moves only teeth in adults, not jaws. Adults need surgery to correct jaw malrelatipnships. See qualified oral surgeon and orthodontist for more info as it pertains to your problem.

See an orthodontist: To the degree that braces will bring your mandibular teeth back and the maxillary teeth forward to correct your bite depends on the position of the maxilla (top jaw) as it relates to the position of the mandible (bottom jaw). Braces can only do so much and you might need surgery. This question can be answered by an orthodontist.
