Teacher's problem: This is obviously a homework or test question and you are right to recognize it is bogus. Statins and antihypertensives are standard and evidence-based treatments for the illnesses listed. There's no mainstream pill to prevent most cancer. Tamoxifen may reduce the risk of breast cancer for those at risk, Finasteride for prostate, and the oral contraceptives reduce ovarian cancer risk.

Healthy Lifestyle: Dr friedlander is basically correct. There is no specific medication that is for cancer prevention. Having put that issue aside, however, it does seem clear that basic, fundamental, healthy lifestyle choices do influence the risk for cancer. Exercise. Eat healthy, non-processed food. Do not smoke. Learn to relax ; destress. Enjoy life. Etc, etc. It really is not rocket science.
