If you are concerned about it and do not accept what your dentist has told you the best person to see would be an oral surgeon or oral medicine specialist they have the advanced training, skills and knowledge to make a diagnosis.

See Dentist now: White patch is defined primarily by color. Size is important but secondary. Any lesion (red, white, brown, blue, grey) that does not disappear completely in 2 weeks MUST be evaluated by your General Dentist our an Oral Surgeon.
