Patience and meds: Aphthous ulcers (canker sores) usually heal in 7 - 10 days if nothing is done. You can cover them with some over the counter medications that are available at nearly all pharmacies. If they are real bad your dentist could prescribe a medication ointment bandage call orobase which may contain a steroid to decrease the imflammation.
