I'm going to have a kidney removed in 3 weeks. any ideas on what i should expect?

Best 2 ask surgeon: Surgery ; recovery will depend upon reason why kidney removal is necessary, i.e. Tumor, vs non-function, vs cystic kidney etc. Also depends upon technique, open surgery, vs laparoscopic, hand assisted laparoscopic or robotic/robot assisted. Also wonder why 3 week delay unless not for malignancy. Expect to be sore for a few days. Best to push yourself with mobility ; deep breathing after operation.
