Similar to another recent question. Foamy urine is not abnormal at all, and is more common if urine is concentrated due to reduced fluid intake. Nothing to worry about.

Since your urine is not foamy all the time,it's good sign. Persistently foamy urine is another matter and is abnormal. Dipstick tests essentially test albumin. I have seen patients with with multiple myeloma or amyloidosis have onky trace positive albumin in urine by dipstick but have heavy proteinuria caused by light chain nephropathy that only an immunofixation test would detect.
