Re-treat or extract: Re-treatment, including possibility of cutting off the tip of the root (apex resection). Or extractoin of the tooth.

Extraction: The removed tooth can be replaced with an implant, or a bridge. Both are common and predictable procedures. They should last a lifetime if maintained properly.
