Losing a tooth: Is it bad to loose a tooth? What about a finger? Or a toe? If you had cancer in a finger or toe, take it off. If you had an ingrown toenail or arthritis, would you remove the toe or finger? If the tooth can be saved and it has a good long term prognosis, save it. You will save money and be healthier in the end. You can live with a missing toe or finger or tooth, but why if you don't have to?

Extraction vs RCT: Root canal therapy. If you are able (health, time and money) it is always better to have a root canal. According to american association of endodontists survey, 76% of participants said they would prefer a root canal to tooth extraction. Once a tooth is lost, the remaining teeth will begin to move and the bite will become misaligned. This can be a big problem, especially as you get older.
