Please explain if it is possible to have all or part of your colon removed without having to live a bag for the rest of your life?

Depends on: Your medical condition and the procedure but assuming you are healthy, part of your colon to all of your colon except your lower rectum/anus can be removed and the small bowel connected to the remaining portion and avoid an ostomy/bag. The indications for the surgery may also play a role in determining your result.
