PR interval: The pr interval is the time the impulse travels from the atrium to the ventricles. There is a normal range and some people have shorter and some longer intervals. Long intervals can indicate disease in the atrioventricular conduction system. If this is severe enough to block impulses getting to the ventricle a pacemaker may be indicated.
