Periodontal Problem: Teeth can become loose because of trauma or periodontal disease. With advanced periodontal disease, you can have inflammation of the gums and significant bone loss supporting the teeth resulting in extremely loose teeth. Biting into an apple or any food that applies a force to a tooth that has minimal bone support can result in the loss of the tooth.

Firm food: Biting into any firm food can exfoliate (take out) a loose tooth as biting into these things exerts a tremendous amount of force on the teeth. Apples just happen to be one of the more common ones.

Teeth coming out: When eating is a sign of a serious problem. There is either advanced gum disease present where the teeth have lost so much bone support they are effectively not functional any longer. You should see a dentist as soon as possible to determine proper treatment, determine what is and what is not savable, and get the necessary tx. Keep your diet soft until you get the appropriate care. Good luck.

Weakness of support: The supporting tissue/ bone around the teeth can break down due to gum disease- gingivitis, periodontitis. Grinding/clenching can also cause the teeth to loosen. Iwould have it checked and treated at your dentist. Often, the bone will not grow back (bone grafting is an option, ) but it is better to use excellent oral hygiene and be careful what and how you bite down into certain foods.
