Maybe: Most stints heal and get covered over with tissue, therefore premed not necessary. Ask your cardiologist what they recommend! also depends on how recent they were placed.

NO: According to the american heart association scientific statement, antibiotic prophylaxis after stent placement is not recommended for patients who undergo dental, respiratory, gastrointestinal, or genitourologic procedures.
