Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medication used for prophylactic inhibition of platelet aggregation which can help prevent strokes. A low dose aspirin (81mg.) is often given to prevent clotting, which also reduces incidence of strokes and heart attacks via obstruction of the coronary vessels.
