A member asked:

I am having an mri for a discolated thumb and possibly surgery - should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally one does -: Not require surgery for dislocations, unless the collateral ligament (s) or the tendons are disrupted and caught between the bones. Mri would confirm that. Follow the post-op instructions closely to maximize the result of your treatment. Good luck.
