Possibly: Some cataracts are centrally located and when the pupil is dilated, the clearer outer margin will create and image that is better. Corneal conditions can also do this. Why were your eyes dilated? During that examination the eye doctor who was treating you should have commented upon cataracts or other features. Maybe you should give him a call?
