Depends: This really depends on the circumstances. Important factors to consider are what valve is involved, how abnormal is it currently, how enlarged the heart is, and how the heart is functioning now. Even knowing all this though it is really challenging to give an accurate prognosis because every patient is so different. I hope this helps.
