Ok: This is the maximum fda recommend dose for both, but they can be used together at these doses safety.

Valid concern: You may very well have a valid concern taking these 2 drugs together due to the serotonin syndrome. It is not necessarily very common....On the other hand it's not rare either so your trepidation is understandable. I would encourage to speak with the doctor and just explain that you would like to know if another combination of medications could be used to treat your condition?

Tell your dr!!: Normally there is no reason to take both Cymbalta (duloxetine) and zoloft; the effect on serotonin is duplicated. The only reason i would have someone on both would be if we were making a switch and someone started to feel so much better when one med was added to the other to start a switch and did not feel as good as we lowered the original drug. But you have to let your dr know if you don't feel ok on this!
