A member asked:

I already had hsv1 oral, but now i have either hsv2 or hsv1 on my genitals. if this turns out to be type 1 on genitals, does that mean it will recur there now too, instead of just on the lips?

It could: Hsv1 of the genitals can cause recurrent outbreaks in the genital region.

HSV: But it is more likely that it will be hsv2. Generally, but not invariably, the eruptions will recur at the site of primary infection.
