Check local laws: Commercial drivers will need to adhere to dot rules. For regular passenger car drivers, all states will require you to have a prescription obviously. If norco, or any other drug, including over the counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for instance, causes impairment, then you could receive a dui if you are deemed impaired.
