Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is safer: For once the FDA did something right. Tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetamenophen) is highly toxic. Even a small amount reduces glutathione production, and is toxic to your liver. More than 2,000 mg per day is very hepatotoxic. The FDA required mfrs to reduce the amount of tylenol (acetaminophen) in opiate drugs from 500 mg to 325 mg. Tylenol (acetaminophen) should be avoided in any amount!

Safer: No, they are both hydrocodone combinations with Tylenol(acetomenaphin), but the 325mg dose is safer for your liver. Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is generic. Vicodin is brand.
