Sty v chalazion: A sty is an infected gland in the lid, . While a chalazion is not. The chalazion is meibomian or gland that produces the oil part of the tear film, whose excretion has been pushed into the surrounding tissue, this causes inflammation , and the body walls off. Both can be treated early with warm compresses 3-4x per day. But the sty may requuire antibiotic drops or ointment.
