Return: Return to the dentist who made the onlay for an evaluation. This may resolve on its own, require a bite adjustment or possibly further treatment.

Duration: A tooth that is sensitive for a short time may not be a problem, but if this sensitivity has lasted for awhile, do not hesitate and get back to the dentist whom placed the onlay. The nerve could also be irritated by your bite, if it is not quite right.
