Consult: See ur dentist for your pit and fissure cavity and a local orthodontist for ur overbite. The two are unrelated.

Need examination: Excessive horizontal or vertical overbite refers to the relationship of the front teeth to each other. Pit and fissure cavities are cavities in the grooves between the lobes of the teeth. You need to see an orthodontist to evaluate your overbite, and a general dentist to evaluate you for cavities. Please schedule both examinations.

2 different things: Overbite refers to how much your front teeth overlap. Yu are supposed to have some. It is only a problem if you have to much or too little. Pit and fissure cavities occur on the chewing surface of back teeth. Have a dental exam to determine if you do actually have cavities. Have any cavities fixed. Have the dentist check your bite and if need be refer you to an orthodontist.

See a dentist: At age 43, your overbite treatment can wait a little longer. Decay, on the other hand, can't and should be treated asap, since early cavities are smaller, easier on the patient, and less costly to repair. Once the decay has been taken care of, determine your orthodontic treatment options.
