Benign tumor: They are most common benign tumor of kidney. Comprised of vascular cells, smooth muscle cells ; fat cells they are liable to spontaneous hemorrhage. Most commonly seen in patients with tuberous sclerosis. Usually do not require intervention. Optimal management is conservative to preserve as much normal functioning kidney tissue as possible. Large tumors can often be managed by embolisation.
