Not related: Root canal therapy and orthodontics are not related. The best alternative to root canal therapy is to maintain your teeth to avoid the procedure, and for orthodontics, to be born without a malocclusion.

Depends: The best alternative to a root canal is to not have let a small cavity get so large that the tooth needs a root canal. If you need a root canal, and you don't want the root canal, the only alternative is extraction of the tooth. I'm not sure what you mean as far as braces, are you asking between conventional braces with wires or invisalign? You would need to discuss the option with orthodontist.

Depends: Best choices for treatment depend upon the particular condition in a particular individual. Seek a capable general dentist with global diagnostic ability that can see the big picture and can quarterback complex treatment.
