Prescriptive items: Eye dilation drops are a prescription only product - a standard pharmaceutical. Any physician can prescribe them, ophthalmologists of course and believe it or not even optometrists are permitted to prescribe them.

My right eye got Uveitis about a month ago. Got cortisone eye drops from the specialist and most of the symptoms are gone. The only problem I still have is that the pupil stays dilated. Will this resolve itself or should I go back to the optometrist?
Dilation of eyes showed rt arterioles narrower than lt; rt venules much more tortuosity than left. Optometrist advised carotid doppler to rule out potential for stroke. Have appt w/ PCP on Monday...what should I do in the meantime to prevent stroke?
