Have dry eyes, but when eyes get more wet/hydrated, more flashes appear in peripherals of both eyes. more dry and less flashes. dilated eyes, optometrist found no tears. all started 2 months ago. what could be wrong? severe dry eye causing flashes?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. What you described warrants an evaluation by an ophthalmologist. Wish you good health!
