Most often: Dads and moms who want all the children to do their best and have fun can be great little league coaches. Some knowledge of the game to teach kids how to play, throw, hit, catch and slide is important, but they don't need to have been a competitive athlete. Patience is important as is ability to encourage and instruct without criticism. Coaches without a child on the team show their dedication.
