Mine's almost as big: These are common. Ask any physician who does a good, complete physical exam. If the mass is clearly a lymph node and not a submandibular gland tumor, and is not hard or stuck to a nearby structure, it would be a terrible idea to biopsy it. The chances of it being tumor are very low, it's not going to be resection-for-cure, and that area is full of important stuff. Been offered a fine needle?
