Yes/no: Pineal cyst are typically not a problem. Rarely, if large, they can intermittently compress a region in the brainstem that controls eye movements. If your intracranial pressure is high, an opthalmologist may see swelling of your optic nerves on exam. The way to know for sure is a lumbar puncture where your "opening pressure" is measured.
