I have been tested for Hiv by third generation test at at 3 and 6 months mark and tested again for hiv,hcv antibody at eight months from my exposure date,all came negative. some doctors said that i have to wait for one year to be sure. is that true ?
Hi Dr, how accurate is the antibody part of a 4th generation test at detecting hiv-2 at 38 days post exposure since p24 is not detectable on hiv-2. Doc has said I am conclusive about my negative status. Exposure was in Thailand.
If we exposed to hiv and take pep after one month of exposure.did antigen antibodies test be delayed for four months..i had tested with 4th gen test after four and half months after last course of pep.is this conclusive or delayed seroconverion?
