A member asked:

What does a higher than normal range ivsd, lvpwd and lvpws means in an heart echocardiogram? what does an fs% lower than normal mean too? mine at 28%

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Range : A range is just that: a range. With mostly 2 standard deviations above and below mean. Some normal values will be higher and some will be lower. These ranges, just like a fractional shortening, are only part of the info a complete echo report gives you.
