Ear ringing: The ear infection can cause ear ringing that should dissipate as the infection is controlled.

Tinnitus : The noise you hear could be caused by your ear infection. Tinnitus is actually a very complex perception of some type of noise or sound in the ears or head. There are different types, subjective (only you hear) or objective (others can hear the noise too-rare). It can be pulsatile like a heart beat or non-pulsatile. There can be many causes and it really needs evaluation by an ent, if persists.
