Need abx ear drops: Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is an appropriate antibiotic for the bacteria that typically causes an outer ear infection from swimming. However, the best course is to use antibiotic ear drops to the affected ear as it more directly treats the infection. Also, follow closely with your doctor.
