I always feel like there is a lump in my throat after i get heartburn. what could be causing this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Acid reflux: Acid reflux can cause laryngeal reflux and give you the lump in the throat feeling. Controlling your reflux with an antacid such as zantac (ranitidine) or Pepcid daily, modifying your diet to avoid fried food and eating late at night, losing weight and avoiding Ibuprofen should improve your symptoms. Sipping on alkaline water from artesian well, such as fiji water also help the throat discomfort.
