Depends: The site of the wound on your body is important ( more central indicates faster healing), the depth of the injury, the specificity of the antibiotic, your basic immune system health and whether or not you needed stitches. You can usually help things along by applying heat to the infected area. Discuss with the er doc who treated you about the actual speed of healing for your particular wound.
