Very ill: Sepsis is usually due to serious infections and the person is sick enough to be not able to move around, may have high fever, low blood pressure, confusion and more. See this site for more information. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sepsis/ds01004.

Get it treated.: If an infective agent travels to the blood stream and spreads, it could cause what is called sepsis. With sepsis the body is greatly challenged to fight the infection. In severe cases the patient may go into multi-organ failure, shock, or even death. Have it evaluated and get the appropriate treatment.
