A member asked:

I had sepsis 2 years ago following surgery. i don't think organs were damaged. does sepsis stay in your body forever? should i be on gaurd?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: If no organs were damaged due to the sepsis, it should not leave a lasting problem. You should be on the watch for the circumstances that led to sepsis. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
