Non-Intact Skin: If there's any concern for HIV at all, you both should get tested. Have the talk before engaging in any sexual activity. It's the mature and safe thing to do. Sure, it's a little awkward, but not moreso than dying of aids. It's safe to assume that secretions will carry HIV and that if you have any micro-abrasions on your finger that it's certainly possible that you could contract the virus.

HIghly unlikely: It takes fluids from the infected person to enter your blood stream. Don't do it if you have an open sore on one of your fingers, otherwise you are safe. Always practice safe sex; condoms for intercourse or anal sex, oral dams for oral sex, and a condom on your fingers if open sores or cuts.
