I have a cough, bad nausea and fever. my doc gave me zofran (ondansetron) 4mg 3x day. 4 isn't enough anymore can i double the dose or is that not safe?

Need doctor's advice: Never alter the total dose, duration, frequency of daily use, nor start/stop a prescription drug without your doctor's advice. There is room to adjust zofran (ondansetron) here, but what are you treating? More importantly, what condition has worsened in you that warrants more zofran (ondansetron)? Ask your doctor to find the cause, not just treat your symptoms.
