The tibia tubercle: Tibia tubercle surgery usually relates to either patellar (kneecap) instability that is severe or to underlying patella/trochlea articular cartilage disease. When the tibial tubercle is osteotomized (sawed) and moved to the inner side and elevated it can ease the pressure on the patella and improve tracking.
