1.5-2 hrs: Sounds like U have patellar instability with a lateralized patellar tendon insertion. In this situation I typically proceed w/ knee scope followed by Fulkerson osteotomy to medialize tendon insertion and then MPFL recon w/ hamstring tendon autograft (your own tendon tissue). Typically takes max of about 2 hrs and have realized very good clinical results. Femoral block performed before procedure.
