It means that the-: -articular cartilage in the joint is worn down to bone on bone in some areas and almost there in others grade 4 =bone on bone, grade3= almost there.

Had knee arthroscopy for torn meniscus & was trimmed. 7 weeks from surgery still have pain (1-10) about a 5 when I get up from a sitting position for lets say the first 6 steps & then okay. This pain was a 3 before but started walking more. Normal?
