Complicated: ? definition & diagnosis of fibromyalgia (FM). FM is "umbrella label" for group of symptoms (chronic widespread pain, fatigue, depression, confusion, restless sleep) without single proven cause. Associated causal factors (femaleness, obesity, childbirth, hypermobility, mechanical injury, prolonged inactivity) vary among sufferers. Diagnosis is as much artistry as science.
