Need diagnosis: Have a sleep study to ascertain the correct diagnosis and thus the correct treatment. Mood disorders[depression] is made more difficult to treat when there is an underlying sleep disorder.. We are always on shaky ground when we treat symptoms without having the diagnosis established.

Pills not working: I think it may be obvious to you now, but your Ambien (zolpidem) has stopped working. Perhaps it is time to graduate from taking pills for sleep to more natural ways to live; to learn how to sleep again; to overcome the obsessions that these pills lead to when it comes to sleep.
