Depends on variables: The condition of the kid should guide your actions.If the kid passed out, seems distant, is vomiting repeatedly and or the soft spot seems hard, an er visit is needed. If the kids behavior and activities seem unchanged, no vomiting, normal feeding activity, you can monitor at home. A call to the on call service and discussion of all features of the event would be appropriate.
