Not usually: The head is proportionally larger on small children, so they commonly hit their head when they fall. Luckily, the skull is thick and these falls rarely lead to injury. Be concerned if, after a fall, your child has vomiting, a seizure, passes out, or seems very different to you. Normally, they cry briefly, pick themselves up, and are off playing again.
