Living: We don't use the words good or bad in medicine. Fruits are 100% sugars and thus have to be limited in a healthy diet. But, in and of themselves, there is no concern here.

Read the label.: How much sugar added? What else is in there? In general, canning allows for storage and transportation of fruits and vegetables that ordinarily would not store or travel at all well, like sour cherries.

Much better fresh: Canned fruits without preservatives are not too bad, but not anywhere as good as fresh ones. Fresh fruits, especially ones freshly picked from the trees, have much more vitamins--vitamins deteriorate with time, storage/refrigeration. Canned fruits lost much of their nutritional values during the process. So if you can, eat the fresh ones... To better health... Good luck.
